Beijing Financial Street Research Institute was founded in 2012 and serves as a significant think tank for the research on China's financial industry development and for the industry’s international exchange.

Beijing Financial Street Research Institute aims to be a world-class think tank, which provides an academic exchange and practical exploration platform for government departments, regulatory agencies and financial institutions. It acts as the sole academic support unit for the Financial Street Forum. It offers vital references for the formulation of macroeconomic policies and the reform and development of the financial sector, and provides basis and advice for the decision-making of financial enterprises. It focuses on the “Five Major Articles” on sci-tech finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance, digital finance, to contribute wisdom to the development of the real economy through financial services. It initiated the establishment of the Financial Street Think Tank, with the main task of serving the national financial management center, and endeavors to build a national high-end think tank cc that matches the status of a powerhouse.
