China Futures Association
Pursuant to the Regulation for the Administration of Registration of Association and the Regulations for the Administration of Futures Trading, the China Futures Association (referred to as “CFA”), which is a non-profit association, was established on December 29, 2000 as a national self-regulatory organization of futures industry subject to the guidance and supervision of the China Securities Regulatory Commission(CSRC) and the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.
General Meeting is the highest authority of CFA, while the Council refers to the standing authority of CFA during intersession of General Meeting, which is responsible for General Meeting. The Council is currently composed of 16 professional committees, namely Brokerage Business, Asset Management, Derivatives Traders, International Business, Information Technology, Self-regulatory Supervision, Complaints, Dispute Resolution, Talent Development, Investor Education and Protection, Research & Development, FinTech, Legal, Social Responsibility, Talents Cultivation Fund Management Committee and Investor Education Fund Management Committee.CFA has one chairman, several vice chairmen, one secretary general, and several vice secretary general. There are 11 departments including General Office（CPC Committee），Discipline Inspection Office , Membership I, Membership II, Innovation Support，Compliance Investigation, Qualification Exam and Authentication, Training, Research and Development, Investor Education and Information Technology.
As of the end of 2017, CFA had 362 members in total, including 285 regular members, five special members and 72 affiliate members. Regular members include futures companies, securities companies, assets management companies, risk management companies and private equity funds. Special members include futures exchange and futures market monitoring center. Affiliated members include local associations, banks, software developers, and technology service providers etc.
