MUFG Bank (China), Ltd. is a member of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), the largest financial services organization in Japan, and is also a wholly owned subsidiary of MUFG Bank Ltd., Japan's largest multinational commercial bank.
In 2007, to respond to the call for foreign banks’ locally incorporation by authorities, MUFG Bank (China) with headquarter in Shanghai, was established after incorporation of MUFG Bank’s subsidiaries of Mainland China.

MUFG Bank is now in the leading position among not only Japanese banks, but also foreign banks in China.
After the locally incorporation, MUFG Bank (China) has achieved great growth, and presently is in possession of 14 branches (Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Dalian, Tianjin, Wuxi, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Qingdao, Wuhan, Shenyang, Suzhou, Fuzhou and Hangzhou).
